Recently, I was invited to be a guest speaker for a webinar series about how to start a business in the travel industry. The moderator began our conversation by saying, “Anbritt, let’s not have you talk about the scary-scary, ok?” He was referring to some of the problems I’ve been through during my thirteen and a half years as a business owner.

The Value of Sales Missions

No matter how much money we spend on advertising, digital media, and smartphone systems, we just can’t replace the human element. This is even more evident in the group travel industry. A tour operator recently told me, “Suppliers need to understand that when we send them a group, it’s not just a booking. We’re trusting them with our reputation.”
