New Leadership At the Helm for SYTA

Written by
For the first time in SYTA’s history, a tour operator based outside North America takes the helm of SYTA’s leadership as their President of the Board of Directors. Shannan Carter of Educational World Travel, an Australian-based tour operator, took the title on Monday August 27, 2012 at the Annual SYTA conference. Are You in the Box?

Written by
As a business leader, many people approach me with well-meaning book recommendations. There seems to be a book for every situation under the sun. Who has the time to read all of them? I know I don’t. During this process, I looked at all aspects of the business, including annual sales, costs, and overall profitability.

But, yesterday I was reminded that it’s the celebrations in life that will be most memorable.

Sell Like an Olympian!

Written by
Have you ever wondered what type of commitment it takes to become an Olympic athlete? Being the best athlete has never been something to which I aspired, but being the best I can be as an employer and team member is something for which I do strive. Olympic athletes share three common traits. These same traits can be applied to all facets of life, including sales and management.

How do you track social media? That’s a topic most marketers monitor regularly. The answer to that question continues to evolve, and keeping a pulse on what tools are available can be a full-time job.
