Pinterest is an ingenious social media platform that is perfect for destinations and attractions. As it continues to grow in popularity, more and more places are realizing that it really is a great way to showcase what they have to offer.

Knowing this, we sent our editorial assistant out on a mission to find the top five Pinterest boards among destinations and attractions. Although there is a long list of places, she was able to pick the ones that could be best used as examples to follow as the industry becomes more aware of the power of this social platform.

1. Experience Kissimmee, Florida

With more than fifteen hundred followers and almost an equal number of pins, this page caught our attention because of the beautiful images and the sheer number of things a pinner could look at!

2. Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

Known for finding the most bizarre things in the world, naturally we thought that their Pinterest page would showcase the company’s unique spin on looking at the world. They didn’t disappoint. Although currently sitting at 900 fans and pins, we’re sure that this page will explode with repins, likes, and follows. Who doesn’t like the odd and strange things in life?

3. Busch Gardens Tampa

Showcasing animals is always a good idea when looking for more pinners to follow you. One thing we want to point out which puts this fun attraction in the top five, is their use of promoting new and upcoming events and things to do. We also love that they put links to their blog and facebook page at the top of the site.

4. Travel Oregon

Coming in at number four is Travel Oregon. This is a great example of how to showcase all of the things to see and do within the state as well as give the viewer a chance to see the true beauty of a place they either live in or never been to before.

5. Cincinnati Museum Center

Last but not least, this Pinterest board caught our attention because unlike the other four, this page shows the historic wonder available at the museum but doesn’t limit itself to just that. Pinning items related to history and current exhibitions is a great way to expand your page and allow for even more pins for followers to look through.
